Ruled by Our Patterns is part of my Ingrained Patterns Collection. It is made from a gunmetal black pigment made from corroded decommissioned guns in the US and sandstone foraged from Anglesey, Wales. This collection explores our inner consciousness. It challenges our long-held thoughts and beliefs about our planet and our innate human behaviours.
Painted using handmade watercolour onto 9mm birch plywood, this artwork is an original painting finished with an archival UV protective matt varnish

This painting is mounted onto a bespoke made, lux oak wooden frame, with a dark Jacobean wax finish to expose and highlight the edges of the ply.
