Frequently Asked Questions

  • How and when should I contact you?

You can email me directly at lisapriceart@me.com or use the contact form on my website. Alternatively, feel free to WhatsApp or call me at 07969172361. My normal working hours are 10.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday, although I always have one eye on my emails!

  • What materials do you use in your paintings?

I create my paints from foraged earth minerals, crushed by hand into pigment powder—no store-bought paints are used. The natural tones and hues of the earth are a primary inspiration in my work. I mainly work in watercolour, using gum arabic as the binder for my pigments. My paintings are executed on a range of substrates, including paper, wood, and linen canvas, and each piece is finished with an archival UV matte spray varnish.

  • Can I see what the painting looks like in my space before making a purchase?

Seeing a painting in your space before buying is invaluable. I can create a free mock-up for you—just send a photo of the room and approximate dimensions so I can judge the scale. Email your image and measurements to lisapriceart@me.com. There’s no obligation to purchase; this simply helps you visualise how the artwork will feel in your space.

  • What are your payment terms?

You can purchase artwork directly on my website. The checkout offers several payment methods, including Klarna. For commissions, BACS is the preferred payment option.

  • Do you offer instalment payment plans?

Yes — payment by instalments is available. If there’s an original you love but can’t pay for in a single transaction, instalments can help you secure the piece. This option applies to any painting priced over £300 and is handled by invoice/BACS. The usual schedule is a 50% deposit followed by two monthly payments of 25%. If that arrangement doesn’t suit you, I’m happy to discuss alternative terms. The painting will be dispatched once the balance is paid in full. Normal shipping and returns policies apply. Please email before purchase if you’d like to arrange instalments.

  • What shipping options do you offer?

All artworks in my shop show an estimated shipping cost at checkout, calculated from each painting’s size and weight. Shipping within the UK is free on all pieces.

Shipping within the UK

Orders are packed and dispatched within 5 working days. UK paintings are shipped via Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or TransArt Box independent couriers, depending on the size and weight of the piece. Shipments are tracked and, where possible, sent with a signature required. Most UK deliveries arrive within 2–3 days of dispatch; please allow up to 7 working days to accommodate potential delays.

If you wish to purchase a painting from one of my collections that is not listed in the shop, email me with the painting title and your location. I will provide a shipping quote; once you accept it, payment will be arranged by invoice sent to your email.

International shipping enquiries

International delivery times vary by destination and may be longer. Any import duties, customs fees, or taxes charged by the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility; these charges are set by the destination and are beyond my control.

  • Can I collect my artwork in person?

Yes — collectors are always welcome to pick up their artwork from my studio. I enjoy meeting you and will have coffee or tea ready for your visit. The studio is in Hatfield, Hertfordshire: under 25 minutes from London by train (contactless payment accepted) and a two-minute walk from the station. On-street parking is also available.

  • Do you have a return policy?

Please review your purchase carefully before completing checkout. Read the listing description and confirm sizes, framing options, and colours. I strive to represent my artwork as accurately and true to life as possible. If you would like a video call to view a piece or need additional images beyond those on the website, please email to request this.

Online purchases are covered by distance selling regulations. If you are not completely delighted with an undamaged artwork, you may return it within 28 days of receipt for a full refund. Once a return is agreed, you are responsible for packaging and shipping the piece back in the same condition it was sent. After I receive the painting in its original condition, I will issue your refund within 14 days. Shipping costs are not refundable. This return policy does not apply to bespoke commissions.

  • Will the painting I receive be ready to hang?

All linen paintings come ready to hang, framed or unframed. Artwork on paper is not ready to hang unless it is specified as framed.

  • Do you help customers with the selection of frames for your artwork?

All frames for linen artworks are handmade by me from solid oak with a linseed oil finish. For pieces exceeding 100 cm on any side, or for paintings on paper that need glazing, framing is carried out by my specialist framer in London and can be customised to your requirements. I collaborate with an excellent local framer in North London. If you'd like an unframed work larger than 100 cm or a painting on paper, I can arrange a bespoke solution and get a quote from my framer. I can deliver the piece to be framed and collect it when it's finished, or put you directly in touch with him. A 10% sourcing and handling fee is added to the frame cost.

  • Do your paintings come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes, each painting will come with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity stating its title, dimensions, medium and year of completion.

  • Do you accept commissioned projects?

Yes — I accept commissions and enjoy creating them. Please email lisapriceart@me.com with your ideas and any references to my other works that you like. I will arrange either an in-person meeting or a Zoom/phone call to discuss your commission in detail, ensuring the concept is clear and everyone is happy before I begin the painting. Once a design is confirmed and a 50% deposit is received, the typical completion time is up to six weeks. Because commissions are bespoke, prices are generally about 15% higher than listed works.

  • Do you accept visitors at your studio?

Yes — I enjoy studio visits, but they are by appointment only. Please email with your preferred day and time. Studio visits are normally available Monday–Friday, 10:30 am–5:30 pm.

  • How do I look after my painting?

Don’t display your artwork in direct sunlight. Works on linen have been sealed with a UV matte varnish. If your piece is framed behind UV museum glass, avoid using any cleaning products on the glass.

  • Do you work with corporate art consultants and interior designers?

Yes — I collaborate with interior designers and art consultants on a wide variety of projects. If you’d like to discuss yours, please email me at lisapriceart@me.com. Please note, I do not produce prints of my work. If you plan to include any of my paintings in your proposals, I appreciate being contacted first with the titles or images of the pieces you intend to use.

  • In what galleries is your art currently available throughout the world?

I am represented by Circle Contemporary Gallery, Columbia Road Gallery, Glasshouse Contemporary Gallery and Sister Contemporary Gallery. My work is also available through third-party online galleries, including Rise Art, SOTA Marketplace, Artiq, CURIO, Zone Arts and Saatchi Art.

  • Are you interested in being contacted by galleries?

Galleries are always welcome to reach out. If my work and practice suit your space and you’re interested in exhibiting my work, please email me directly at lisapriceart@me.com.

  • Do you rent or lease your art?

Each painting I make is an original, one-of-a-kind work, so I cannot lend or rent pieces to individual buyers. Interior designers who would like to feature my work in a project or photoshoot are welcome to contact me.

  • Do you use archival, environmentally friendly materials?

Absolutely — this is central to my practice. I use only handmade paints made from foraged earth minerals and protect each work with an archival, UV-resistant matte spray varnish. I source materials responsibly and, whenever possible, repurpose off-cuts and reclaimed supplies.

  • Do you make prints of your work?

No — I don’t offer prints of my paintings. My practice is intentionally eco-conscious, and to maintain sustainability I don’t reproduce my work as prints. I do, however, offer pieces at a range of price points to keep my art accessible to collectors with different budgets.

Do you have a newsletter subscription form?

Yes. I typically send just one email per month with details about upcoming exhibitions, workshops, and special offers. You can subscribe using the form at the bottom of my homepage or the “Subscribe” button in the header.
